Well said and definitely true. Everyone loses, but especially the one hating. Incidentally, my mother would never allow the use of that word in our home. We could never say we hate anything, each other, or anybody else. The word was stricken from our home. It stayed with me and I raised my kids the same. It conveys loss in the purest sense of the word.

thank you for sharing your family’s upbringing. we were also raised feeling that “hate” is too strong a word.
