we let the neighbor’s
kids come over to make a
mess of our living
room – tiny fingers
breaking up packing
peanuts with so much
glee, spreading even
smaller pieces across
the floor, then
commanding the
Roomba to do what
it does best –
entertain small
terrestrial creatures
