from atop the
strolling castle
of
dad’s shoulders,
we took
turns counting
our friends,
counting our
enemies. by the
time we
reached Third Ave.,
you were ahead
with Maggie
and Shuno,
and i had to
chew over
the possibility
of forgiving Jessica
S. for sitting
in my seat
this morning

My daughter is getting too big now to easily carry on my shoulders, but I still do sometimes. Dads love it too; there’s something good and proud about carrying your child aloft like that 🙂
