when your heart breaks

when your heart breaks,
sooner or later they will
have to call off the
mourners, put you six
feet under – as a matter
of self-preservation, there
is almost an immediate
threshold for grief
and sympathy, and it is
really up to you to
wake up and
ring the bell
when you are ready
to be dug up again

Yes, you are very correct about, it is up to the person to be able to see clearly. Often the grief, and pain is blinding the person from thinking clearly.
